i have been planning to get serious about the fuzz face for some time.  here is a first draft of what i am going to use for my experiments--comments are welcome.  this project, called "fuzzy logic," will allow me to build in a single enclosure

  • R.G.'s Basic Fuzz Face with various mods by R.G., RM, Fuller
  • a Vox Tone Bender 5/67
  • runoffgroove Sili-Face and Sili-Face 2
  • fuzzcentral Axis Face Germanium and Axis Face Silicon
  • Boutique Fuzz
  • Joe Gagan's Easy Face
  • Aron Nelson's Hornet
  • Gus Fuzz Face
  • Tim Escobedo's Many Faces - Circuits A - E
  • brett's Miss Piggy V3 and Miss Piggy V5

by using sockets and trimmers.  this is not an original idea.  i am just following the leads and advice of a lot of othe folks--i've just kind of gone over the top with it.  this time, i prefer this to breadboard experimentation because i want to play with my fuzz faces in practices and gigs to get a sense for how well they work.

here's a layout image.  the names of the pots and trimmers are just for fun.  if anyone wants a discrete named after someone/themselves, just let me know.   ;D  the schem and a pcb image are on my layouts page.  i have also posted an ms excel spreadsheet there that shows how all of the fuzzes listed above are made with this layout.  all feedback welcome!  :icon_biggrin:
