Hey all, i'm having some trouble with the axis fuzz.    Here's the schematic: http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/axisfuzz.gif

I breadboarded it and it sounded great.  The subsequent build has been a different story.  I'm getting sound now, but a huge volume drop, and not the fuzz i remember from the prototyping.  i think it may have something to do with one of the transistors.  Here are the numbers:

2N3904:

C - 6.13
B - 3.29
E - 2.70

2N3906:

C - 4.47
B - 3.78
E - 3.29

I also installed a dc jack which makes a huge amount of noise when engaged.  I used the plastic jack but it has a metal screw, not sure if that would make a difference.  I measured the resistance on the pots, they seemed good.  The volume knob works, but the drive makes not much of a dent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Much thanks!!!

All is well, after staring at the board for what seemed like days (not too far off either) i found a spot where i had neglected to drill a hole through the veroboard trace! Works now!
