I think the guy's got a reissue Wah with an old ( possibly just old, not vintage) bag.  I'd say show the guts and more close ups to proove it's the real deal.

i couldnt imagine getting ripped off that badly...a 1,000 vox 847.

Man, I used to have one of those bags that came with an ancient Vox volume pedal.

I threw them both away.

I was 13.

Kinda like what people did with the picture sleeves from 45's back then.
Now, they're collectible!

They are collectable because people threw them away. If everybody kept them, they wouldn't be anything special.

For me part of the insanity is there's not even any gut shots. Even so $1000+ for a wah-wah pedal???

Look at the bidders.

hawnsurfer bid $185. Two  and a half hours later parlortrash bid $426, hidden by ebay's bidding process to just more than hawnsurfer. Eight hours later hawnsurfer came back and chased it up to $299.99 and quit.

It is likely that the seller noticed that there was a newby (parlortrash has a feedback of 4, all of which were in 2004) and decided to see if they were gullible. Enter polodzine, zero feedbacks, two days later. polodzine has been an ebay member since ... June 11, 2006. Polo plops in a $750 bid, and parlortrash is into the bidding war. And right now, parlor trash is sitting there with a 900+ bid on the thing, polodzine having run him up.

There are a few possible interpretations.
One is that polo is a shill and parlor is a patsie.
Another is that BOTH polo and parlor are shills and no one else has leaped in.  Not very clevel shilling, but then never ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence.

What's really unlikely is that it is as it says it is. A good one to walk away from, and watch from a safe distance.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
