OK so I have this idea; a variable A/B switch in its simplest form.  Basically what it means is that you would have two input signals with a wah wah type pedal that either fades from one to the other or one into the other or both alternately with a switch.
do you get it?

I don't know jack about building pedals but I have what i think is a great idea

Ideas, suggestions, possible problems?

so you mean a wah wah enclosure where when the pedal is pushed forward it is at A and when pressed back is at B? or vice versa. which would function like a pan pot for a mono signal between dual mono outputs. eh? and if this is what youre talking about a digitech xp 200 modulator, while not simple will do this. with two amps one in mono one in stereo and the pedal in manual pan mode.

not too long ago a found a website where a guy had made one.... of course he's charging $500 for them, but he had a video of him playing and switching different effects on and off in the different outputs... it was actually pretty cool. the middle setting of the pedal blended both signals. my guess is that he used a dual gang pot for the pedal, one of them wired for reverse, which just controled the volume level going to each output... and blended them accordingly.

See "Panning for fun" at GEO, http://www.geofex.com for ways to do this, and more.

The stock pot in a wah pedal enclosure is 100K. Odd taper, but not unusuable for a panner. Get a broken wah enclosure. Remove the PCB, and replace it with a panner. Put in more jacks.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
