Are there any sources for pre-drilled boxes of more "common" hole patterns?  I'd like to avoid the whole "make a template for each box thing" b.c i'm very short on time this summer.  Looking for like the 3 (or less)  knob triagle MXR type or a 4-5 knob Zvex-type pre-drilled enclosure.

ps search is being really slow

On a side note, i found some different spray paints that my mother was using during her DIY stage (furniture, endtables).  Crackle Paint and this kind of Rough, almost Sand-Paper Texture Paint, both available from home depot.  Any thoughts?

i know smallbear was going to carry at least one pre-drilled enclosure, but i haven't seen it on their site yet.  he mentioned it in a thread.

here it is: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=45880.0

it's not mxr size, but it's from smallbear.  but i just checked, and they still don't seem to be there.  steve, what's the deal?

I don't see how that link says anything about predrilled boxes.  Is there a database or collection of common templates maybe?

Drilling templates can be found here.

Here is a pic of the Sovtek offering:

The only thing I didn't like was that the hole for the power jack is square. But that is a few strokes of a reamer to change. If you use a naked LED without bezel, no other tooling is needed.

I don't have this posted for sale because I have not yet received stock. Order is in, and I expect that (and the larger box) to be in-cave early next week. I will post an update as soon as they arrive.

Small lots will be $9.95 each. I am only taking 100 for now till I can gauge demand. Will stock commercial quantities if they prove popular.

I noticed the pre-painted boxes you get from toadworks (i think).  great idea.

I was looking at these, the guy sells them painted or plain, but they seem a bit small...

I like that guy's box. But, $8 + $11 shipping in the USA = $19! I'm not sure that it's worth it. Drilling is not too dificult and doesn't take to long. I don't have any special tools just a electric hand drill and some bits. A few minutes of planning goes a long way...
