Anyone know of a direct replacement for the oddball Clairex CLM50 optocoupler?  Completley different from the venerable CLM6000.  AFAICT none of the commonly available (from Smallbear) Silonex or Vactec parts are even close.   Datasheet copied below:

Maximum Isolation Voltage (V) :   2.5k
# Input Channels :  1
# Output Channels :  1
Output Breakdown V Min :  250
t(r) (s) :  500u
Maximum Decay Time (S) :  60m
Type of Input AC/DC :  LED Lamp
R(on) (Ohms) :  1.5k
R(off) (Ohms) :  1.0M
Min. On Current (Controlled) :  16m
Min. On Voltage (Controlled) :  2.5
P(D) Max. (W) :  50m
Minimum Operating Temp (øC) :
Maximum Operating Temp (øC) :  70
Package Style :  DIP
Mounting Style :  T

There is none, but why would you want to use it?

It distorts horribly when used in audio circuits. The photoconductor is very very fast for a photoconductor,
but very voltage sensitive and non-linear.

What would be a better replacement? I might need to replace one soon, so I was wondering...

Thanks!

O,
I don't know of a substitute offhand, but it is\was intended for non-audio applications where the photoconductor characteristics are a lot less likely to be all that critical. What's it in?

I might still have a 50-2 around here.

It's in a DOD FX15 Swell pedal. I'm still troubleshooting it, but I have a very strong feeling that it's the clm50. Could I get away with just "rolling" my own?
