I make a layout for a Ibanez Sonic Distortion. I hope to find the ultimate distortion!  :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

I build mine yesterday. I change feedback resistor of gain stage to 4.75K. Then I change tone control as specified here: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/rdv_sd9_sc.gif Then I use asymmetrical clipping with germanium diode.

Any others improvement? This pedal seems to have buzzy bass...   :icon_sad:

Great work. I thought about doing the same project at GGG. If I recall it gives you the choice between the ts 808, ts9 or the sd9? I just wondered how close it reallt was. I knopw the clipping would be different versus Boss effects.

Socket C3 and start trying different caps there. I think a 1µF may do the trick, though I'm not sure(it's the one in the DS-1 which is almost the same circuit). Just try a bunch till you like the bass response. One thing's for sure, the one you'll like will be smaller than 22µF.

Good call. On my original it's a tant marked R22. That's 0.22uf, not 22uf!

*Hmm.* I might have to dig out my abandoned DIY version and slap a .22µF in there cause I never could get mine happening enough to justify boxing it. I got it way loud with that extra gain stage though!
