Is this a common thing to do? In case you're wondering what I mean is, doing the old fender/marshall trick of going into a channel (in my case a '63 BFB tremolux "tremelo" side) input #1, putting a jumper cable into input #2 of the same channel, hitting an effect, like a verb, or delay that is left on most of the time, then taking the Out of the effect, and hitting the other channel, input #1 on the same amp, and EQing between the two.

I know jumping the channels is common, but I've never seen or read about it being used as a faux FX loop. Is this common/"kosher"?

thanks,

matt
