Its like jigsaw puzzles but for adults (and you can actually do something with it when you finish) :icon_razz:

LMAO @ puzzles!  Man, talk about a waste of time.  Like board games. lol

Can you make PCB layouts with Bancika's software?  I have fooled around with the express PCB stuff some.  Getting a printable layout from the layout on the screen is easy.  It's the rest of it that...well.

One thing I would really, really like is to have the schematic and layout linked like in express PCB so it tells you "hey, these pins need to be connected".  Does Bancika's software do that?

nope...not at this time...

Do you just carefully check each trace by hand then?

It's like schematics were MEANT to be read.
The other stuff can also contain all the info, but it's like..it has to be decoded to be read.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

gaussmarkov was kind enough to check it using Eagle software...

just like AC says, i used some software called eagle.  i input the schematic first, because that is easier to get right.  then eagle hooked me up with the components in a layout editor showing everything that has to be connected.  i have a little summary of the process fon gaussmarkov.net here.

when i checked AC's layout, i just started putting things in the same places he had them and then when i would put in his traces, eagle would show whether they were o.k.  if you look back at the images i posted in this thread, you will see how i had some parts left over and how the software shows where they need to hookup.

all the best, gm

Nice work guys!

A couple notes about that first schematic- that muff was a pnp version (I discovered after wiring the battery in backwards, assuming it was dead, and giving it away), and, those 10K pots may very well have been unoriginal.

Just tonight I ordered some 2N5133's to build an npn muff. I'll be using this layout. Thanks!

I did a few tries with the Bancika software. But I have some difficulties.
I tried to design a AMZ super buffer with one TL074, but I cant get it right.

Anyone tried this on vero or perfboard? I'd be very thankful.
Damn I love my pedals...

Andy .... NICE ONE :D

BTW : I still prefer Vero to Perf  !!
