I do know of one commercial product that uses negative resistance. ;)

The Retro Encabulator?

It also uses magneto-reluctance and  capacitave duractance.   :)

Great guess (and one of my all-time-favorite pieces of video)!

Search this forum for "negistor" to find the answer. ;)

I'm snorting and laughing.  That's great.  Rockwell makes drill presses, too, and they have a plant here.  I wonder if some engineer just decided to be a wiseass or what and make that video.

My carbon comp resistors actually have the ends are covered with cloth braid made from Leo Fender's work pants.  They will whiten your teeth as you sleep and provide extra mojo.

Well, how about that!  I googled it as well, and founds lots of very interesting info.  I had seen the "Tri-Negistor" mentioned here a while ago, but never paid much attention to it.  Thanks for the tip.
