Hi Forum, I've been working on the Bulldog cab Sim and I have it working but it's a bit clangy, the strings are poppy or overly noticable.  It's hard to describe.  I only made one change to the build from original because of parts availability.

I changed the .0068 cap to .0022.  Anyone have input on what this effected, i.e. freq. response?

If this is not significant, what could I tweak to pull down the string sound.  It's all in the attack and not in the notes themselves.

I dont have a schem, but a 6n8 rather than a 2n2 would make quite a difference if it's part
of the speaker tone "filtering"
A pair of 4n7's in series would get you closer around 2n3 ...
or 2 x 1n's ( 0.001uf ) in parallel add up to 2n

I used 2n2 and it calls for a 6n8

In that case, if you use three 2n2's in parallel you'll get 6n6 .... much closer
