It will add extra authenticity when you're covering 'Pretty in Pink' by the Psychedelic Furs.

Now I just gotta put one of those LEDS in her and she'll be complete.  By the way is a Fuzz(Barbie) Face.  Sounds great GGG layout.  It was before I knew about the bias resistor, but it sounds good.  Although the overall volume is pretty low.  Just about unity with volume, not much punch.  I seem to have the same issue with my Shin ei.  They sound wicked, just low volume.  Thanks for the LED link!

They may have changed their policy (quite possible as their website now has a facility to display prices in dollars), but if I recall Rapid used to only ship outside the UK with a minimum order and I think it was something like £100.  If you're outside the UK and their policy is the same (do check on the site though), PM me your details and I'll send you one.

Futurlec has 'em, too!  Perfect for that special woman in your life.  Or whatever.

I used the purple/UV LEDs in the pedals I built for a girl at our local music store.  But pink woulda been cooler.

I just googled 'pink LED' and there are quite a few places that sell them in the US.

Well guys, I can't post a video to prove it, but I came back from Dayton Hamvention in May with three-colour LEDs that change colour randomly - and a choice of fast or slow. They come in standard 5mm LED packages.  :o :o :o :o

I used to have a co-worker who played bass in a lesbian hardcore punk band called "Malibu Barbie".

They were great! :icon_twisted:

What's the forward voltage of these things?

Are they violet or blue LEDs with phosphor, as the "white" ones are?

Thanks, Gez. :icon_biggrin:

It looks like they are blue+phosphor.

They only have 15 degree viewing angle, but when you stomp on a box you're directly above it.  It's still visible from a few feet away though.  20k stop resistor used.  Not quite as good as the 'orange' ones I bought last time - they required a 47k resistor - but they're non-RoHS. :icon_twisted:
