Real nice !
I just need to find a ion generator for the DIY gun or an low cost Coating system in Europe.
Any help on this ?

rmo

You can make your own negative ion generator fairly easy, you just need to generate a pretty high voltage. Here's a site that describes making one, it's fairly expensive unless you can find cheap caps. http://www.emanator.demon.co.uk/bigclive/ioniser.htm

Samy

Thanks rmo, it was very helpfull.
I can get 0,01µF/400V caps for 0,09€, if i use 30 caps and diodes i will not spend more than 4€ .  I already have a ink canister and a paint gun, i´ll probably spend a few Euros with small thinks to addapt this, i´ll spend 15€ at max ! :D
Because i´m a noob in this stuff, I just need to know how to have a ground connection  to connect to the things that i´ll paint ... :icon_question:

If you're going to power the ion generator from mains, I suppose you could use your house's electrical ground. I'm not an expert though.

seems like an easy way to get a jolt... ZZZZZZZTT!

I have seen PC kits go for about $50 now, you just need to get an old oven for the shop though

but it does seem like another fun project

Well, after some indecision i decided to buy a Sears Craftsman Powder coat system #00917288000 .
Why ? You might ask !
It´s easy. It´s not the cheapest powder gun around but i don´t need a compressor and because i don´t have one, living in one apartment also limited my choices for obvious reasons. After reading some reviews i decided for this one but i have a major problem, after some days searching for a dealer in Europe, i couldn't find one and i think Sears don´t sell to Europe ...

If you know some dealers that ships this powder gun to Europe, please tell me, i really want to buy it.

Thanks.

I´ve bought it !  ;D
Now i need a good powder supply in Europe.
I know some powder suppliers but i found some problems, some of them only sell large quantities, others are extremely expensive, and the cheapest ones only have basic colors and i need Gloss, High Gloss and metallic colors too.

Thanks.
