Which effects should I build?

Hello,
My faher and I have been working on wooden enclosure today. It's made of ash and is about the size of four BB boxes together (25x10x4cm) which should be enough for 4 effects. Do you have any suggestions on what should I build. already have TS808, Rebote 2.5, Nurse Quacky (dissasembled, don't like it much) and Green Ringer (don't like it much either). I think there should be at least one nice booster (any suggestions?), one treble booster (maybe brian may), maybe some fuzz, maybe a compressor ???
Do you have any suggestions?
Btw, I'll post pics of enclosure when we finish it. It'll be one piece wood, routed inside for electronics.
Tnx

A nice clean boost would be the AMZ Mosfet boost- it's one of my favorite pedals that I've built. It doesn't add too much gain by itself but it can make a tube amp breakup or another pedal distort more and when engaged but at unity volume it adds a sort of clarity to your sound- it's a good one. Might be fun to have that followed by a Rangemaster followed by a Folk Fuzz 3,5% (or if you wanted a classic fuzz face than the fuzz face would have to go first.) If you did a delay, I'd stick it at the end of the box. Sounds like a fun project! Good luck-

Tnx, AMZ Mosfet doesn't sound like a bad idea.
I won't put delay inside, it's already inside aluminum BB box as well as TS808. So I need Ideas for all slots.
Cheers

tonemender>compressor>mosfet>electra distortion

Or something equivalent: EQ>comp>boost>something that clips

Or you could go for a freak-out box: booster>green ringer>jawari>fuzz with feedback loop

(you should try boosting your green ringer, anyway)

I'd just bould a bunch of stuff you know you need (like the general stuff at the top) and then decide what should go in the box together.

  HIjack...warning...
I suggest 'how' as opposed to 'what'.
After trying some 3+ effect units, I found that I had to do more research.
I began thinking of the multi-unit with an approach of 'work in progress'.
.Sockets, trimpots alternative gain control systems...using a pre-gain or volume control, figureing out if one can be eliminated with small sacrifices in function, adding a pregain resistor instead of a VC etc.
Boosts I like to have gain or volume controllable, Fuzzes of course need VC, but the gain I sometimes leave preset, using the boost level and guitar volume to control that, 1 'extra' pot space...
.EZ board dismount/mount in case I HAD to have that new Fuzz in that position.
Attaching the 1meg pulldowns, leaving a bit of longleg, attaching them right to the switch, so changing a circuit board requires mainly heating the 1m lead, less heat to the switch...keeps the switch clean.
I found it actually takes field research to determine if the function of multiple effects are...good/better/optimal...weighing the strong and weak points of the variety available from the chain...I figure the ratio is about linear, 4x the effects is ~equivalent to 4x the variables/amount of tweaking to get them working, and 'right' with each other.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

It all depends on what you want the box to do, how much room there is to do it and what other pedals you already have.  If you want the box to give a variety of sounds and be able to stand on it's own I'd suggest a fuzz & chorus/phaser/flanger/other modulation.

For the fuzz maybe a f0XX Tone Machine.  You get a really nice fuzz + an interesting octave effect on one board.

For modulation I'd build an easyvibe.. but that's just me being a 'vibe junkie.  Might not be as flexible as something else but wow it sounds great.

I'd suggest a compressor (orange squeezer or Ross), Foxx Tone Machine (Fuzz), Thunderchief (OD/distortion) or the Crank and Sparkleboost (Clean boost).

I've built a 5-in-1 enclosure containing an orange squeezer, TS808/Fuzz switchable), Rebote 2.5, Sparkleboost.

I'm in the middle of builing a huge enclosure for at least 11 effects (11 footswitches), but I'll probably add a couple of others and make them switchable with another couple of effects.

One idea I had was to use small spade connectors for connections from circuit board to 3PDT/jacks etc, to make swapping in new effects easy to do (as long as they have the same number of knobs).

Any other 'clever' ideas to use when building larger units?

Dynacomp/Ross Comp --> Dr. Boogey --> Easyvibe --> Dragonfly's Sparkle Boost.

Having built exactly that combo before for someone. Easy builds, simple power reg & filtering, awesome sounds.

Well, I wouldn't put distortion cause I'm starting tube distortion/preamp project which should be awesome (Hi-Octane preamp with SLO cold biased stage and solid state cathode follower). Ross comp is serious candidate. I'd put simpler circuits rather than complicated ones.
Tnx
