Hi guys, I was just wondering if this was a common problem, but I've tripple checked the wiring (over a series of days) and I'm positive I've wired everything right but the LED's just refuse to work. The pedal does, even though it has a tempremental switch that I'll be replacing soon which could be the cause of the problem, but there are two switches with LEDs, one works fine but both LEDs do not work!

Anything I should be spesifically looking out for? I tested the LEDs outside the circuit and they work so they aren't burnt out.

Any help will be appreciated :)

LED orientation (+ and -)

LED power?

Check the switches with a multimeter and see how much the resistance is

Bummer! next maplin order and I'll have a multimeter, but until then I'm stuck. Do you think a 1k resistor might be too much? I've tested the LED using a 9v battery outside the circuit and it looks like it should work in terms of polarity. This one has me stumped!

Bernardduur

A 1k resistor is enough; must work.

Guess a new switch is needed; if you have a multimeter check the switch.

Isn't there any do-it-yourself stores around? Usually they sell (shitty) multimeters for quite cheap. My first one was a crappy one, but it did the trick

Ok now I'm confused - noob alert warning! I took the led out to see what points worked on the battery, it only worked when the resistor side touched negative and the side with no resistor to positive, shouldn't that cause the led to not work or burn out because power should flow from positive to negitive? On the wiring diagram it states that the resistor goes on the + side and the ground on the - side - which means it should work, no?

I'm going to sleep on it. Thanks again Bernardduur.

p.s. unfortunately no little electronics shops :(

Radio shack, home depot, most other hardware stores, etc etc have a cheap meter usually. There is a small flat spot on all LEDs that coresponds to the anode/cathode. Just look it up. (I forget as well) No reson why LEDS wonk work

Does this strike anyone else as odd, but when I connected the resistor side to ground it worked! I thought this would not work??

Anyways, thanks for your help guys, I'm going to do the diode switch now :D

I'll post some pics of the LEDs in action!

Well It was really confusing me, I swapped the leads arround and put the side with the resistor to ground and it worked! That made me really confused, but hell, it works!

Thanks guys.

The enclosure!
