Latching vs. non-latching relay...

When switching an audio signal, is a "non-latching" relay more prone to noise from the coil?  Is noise any less likely in a latching relay - or does it even make a difference?

I don't think it matters much. Both latching and non-latching have full-voltage switching across the coil. Latching does it twice as often, but you can make one of these be very slow.

In either case, if the coil is not well-isolated from the signal contacts, you will have to slow down the coil voltage change to below the rate that couples into the signal path easily to keep noise down.

I tried to use a solid state non latching relay to remotely switch a Real McTube and could not make it work..Lots of noise.
