OK, I loved the sound of this little unit when I tried it ........ shame it was so expensive.......

I've tried to build it from the schematics that float around this board and the internet; still no results. I can get anything from super clean boosts to oscillation, but not the tone I was after. The Gain pot just doesn't do that much and the diodes, when removed, does not alter the signal.

Anybody has a more inside view on this circuit.......... I loved it on bass btw

Could be an option, yes.......

I am close...... it is now a great sounding pedal...... just wants some more gain from it.

Maybe, just MAYBE...the poster on HC might be willing to share the schem. It's worth a shot anyway. ;)

I will share the schematic and My PCB layout. Both for the Brown source alone and the Cheese source 1590BB layout.

I am just selling a few first.

For the record, I am not just a "cloner" I am selling clones to further invest in some experimental designs. Which, imo is a perfectly reasonable practice. I dont want to get into a debate. However I resent being refered to as "just" a cloner. My ethics perfectly match those of this forum. I will not sell a clone of a pedal currently in production. Its just nice to make a little money to invest in other experiments.

I reverse engineered from pictures of an original unit and communicating with someone who owned one. If you want more gain just replace the 25K gain pot with 100K.

The schematics available already are pretty close, there are just a few errors.

This way, people who dont have the chops to build them but want one can get one from me for what is really next to nothing. Plus I contribute what I have learned to the DIY community and people get to build them.

Its a win win in my opinion.

There are real "cloners" out there who reverse engineer pedals sell them for ridiculous prices and never contribute what they have learned, infact they actively work to keep the cloned design out of the public domain.

So, if your going to refer to me as a "cloner" dont forget that I do make a contribution here. In terms of layouts, reverse engineering and advise to builders.

I am not part of this community just to keep an eye out and be protectionist over any intellectual property that may be my own originally or not.

I completely agree! Since my "attack" at TGP I feel that gap between the builders and the sellers. Close worlds, yet so far apart.

Make a notice when the schematic will come online....... I would love to finish this project and take my mind back to that day in which I tried my first "boutique" pedal........ those were the days.
