Cauldron of gain - update

I was really struggling with this one, Gus was right .... sometimes trying to get a Jfet circuit
to "bias" correctly from "adjustable drain" point, without knowing IDSS etc etc and basing some source/gate
values on other "working projects" ... just isn't enough !!

Well I finally have a very nice sounding "working" version, though NOT at 18v, it does sound better at 12v than 9v

There have been many circuit changes, if anyone is interested PM me and I'll send them to you.

While this does have a decent amount of gain , I would say it's a "saucepan" rather than a "cauldron" of gain  !!

The tone is great though, like a hard driven "bright" amp - quite "spanky" ( speaker spank ) if you get my drift ?
