i love the sound of my crunch channel on my xxx, and the lead channel on my 6505. is it possible to build a pedal that contains these tones? i can get block diagrams, if itll help. but i cant read them as well as i hoped. for a gig coming up, theyve got the backdrop set with marshal tsl/1960a rigs...i dont like the tsl one bit, so i was wondering if i could bring my "6505" with me.  ;D

is anyone willing to help me make one of these? thanx!

No

Well - look at it this way - to create the sound (and feel) of (alot) of tube gain stages into a PI and into certain power tubes - all of which are running at high voltages - coming out of a big 'ol cabimet is not possiable by simple means of analog FX (well... maybe someday by digital)

But - you could capture the "feel" (and that a big word) of it.

You can try to emulate with FETs to some extent but a pedal is not meant to replace an amp - but rather (in my book at least) to enhance, or "color" it

Nothing really sounds like a wound up tube amp.

I like solid state tones also, but they are two different aminals.

You could always do a JFET emu of any tube amp, but YMMV as to how close the sound gets.
