Good afternnon/evening/morning wherever you are-
I guess I should chime in a little with what I've been working on with my free time this summer. I teach, therefore I have a few months to get my head clear for another 9 months of chaos. Anyways, here's what I've been up to:

Swollen Pickle clone -- nice BMP like fuzz. Very wooly. I like the Filter (tone) control. Goes from wooly to very bright. The sweep is really cool, almost %^&*ed-wah sounding when you turn it. A definate keeper. I can't remember whose layout it was, but it was the 1590B perf layout for BMP with substituted values.

AMZ Mosfet Boost -- another great pedal. Just enough oomph to break things up. I have a BS170 in there right now. Great work Mr. Orman.

ROG Tonemender -- After realizing I wired all of the pots backward (from right to left instead of left to right) and missed a connection, this pedal is finally running. Great boost with grit and the tonestack with the mid-switch is awesome. Haven't had time to play with it much - been building too much. Thanks to the ROG guys!

TS-808 Tubescreamer clone -- Used Torchy's layout. No real changes to the pedal setup, except I'm going to look at differences in opamps. I think it's great. Thanks Torchy for your layout.

Doug H's Meteor -- I love this thing. I took Doug's schematic and modified it just a little bit. This thing screams, just like the real amp. I can see where people say that it can give you ear fatigue: it does wear on you after a while. This is the first major schematic that I developed my own, unverified layout for. It worked right out of the box (except I missed a connection that wouldn't bias the last stage; had to try many, many FETs for that one). So, to all who have contributed to my learning here and that helped me be able to develop my own layout that is untested, THANK YOU! I have learned so much in a short couple years.

There are others, many which involved me boxing projects up and troubleshooting. They are:
Dynacomp - very squishy
Orange Squeezer - great comp with a lot of drive
Highway 89 - another great Doug H pedal. Huge, huge sound.
Saffron Squeeze - Going to rebuild the board
BSIAB - rebuild of the board
etc. etc. etc.

Anyways, again, to those who have helped me learn so much over the past couple years, I thank you sincerely for all of your help, guidance, and generosity. I am looking forward to the next year or so of building fun. So, hopefully soon my order from SmallBear will get here soon so I can finish up some more projects. Good luck to all of you with your projects, and don't the solder fumes get you too high.

*edit* I will take comments or questions, if you have them.

Cool, looks like you made some nice ones! Glad you like what you have made.

Build a modulation pedal! Swoooosshhh, wobblewobble, swwooooooooooooooooshhh. Ahem. Phase 45s a good starter.

pbrommer

Done already.  :) Have a chorus (small clone clone) and phaser (phase 90/45 clone with univibe-type mods) built already (done before summer). Mmm.... swooshy. Just too much noise from the JFETs (picks up ESPN radio).

Can't wait to tackle ToneGod's sequencer. It calls my name every day.

Great choices. Esp the Swollen Pickle clone - anyone have a layout for that one?
"I think somebody should come up with a way to breed a very large shrimp. That way, you could ride him, then after you camped at night, you could eat him. How about it, science?"

I haven't had any time to build anything for months. :(

I just buy parts and dream.

I just used this layout: http://www.webdevils.com/stompbox/images/1590b-01_template_Big_Mufff.jpg (thanks soggybag!) and used the component changes from this schematic http://aronnelson.com/gallery/SteveC/pickle2 (thanks Steve C)

Let me know if you have questions. I even have one more MAT04 transistor array left over.

Eh... oh well. I know that a house will be expensive, but I'm looking forward to having a "permanent" place to put my things.

Phhbbbbt. That'll never happen :)

Does anyone know what happened to the Pickle links in this topic (now dead) or does anyone happen to have a layout for it?  I'll be using a chip and not discrete transistors.  Thanks,

Steve
