Question about tapers on Red LLama build.

Just wondering what the tapers are supposed to be on the Volume and Drive pots on the Red LLama layout located here, http://gaussmarkov.net/layouts/redllama/project.pdf.

Volume is 10Klog and Gain is 1Mlin.

Another question...

I have the pedal built and when I turn down my volume nob on my guitar, there is a lot of "snow" sound present. When I turn up my guitar, the "snow" sound disappears. Any Idea what would cause this? I have the board boxed up.

ummmm,
That is a new one on me.
Maybe double check all of your ground connections or perhaps what your getting is some ocillation from the circuit.
Try to neaten up the wiring and if some are too long, this circuit will ocillate.
I have never had it happen but, I hear tell it does.
