Just recieved these from John at basicaudio ( forum member ) and they are superb !!
1590BB is there for size comparison, the "Tweed" box will house my "Peavey Classic 35" amp sim
and the larger wooden one .... have not decided yet , suggestions welcome ( clean ones please ! )
It's large enough for around 6/8 knobs/few switches/circuit and 2/3 3PDT foot switches.
( perhaps a double circuit idea ? )
Thanks John they look fabulous and I'm very pleased with them :D
( Tweed gets lost in my rug ! )

If you haven't done so already, check out his site and listen to the amp clips. I'm sitting here looking at what I can sell to go shopping at his place........ :icon_lol:

Those look great! Is that real tweed? And the wood looks very nice too. I might have to go that route sometime as I'm just a bedroom gig'r.

Yup, REAL tweed, with proper fitted corners and varnished like an old Fender !!
It will last for ever :D
The wood is SO gorgeous, I'm almost tempted to NOT drill holes in it !!

Thanks Marty, I aim to please!
Here are a couple more pics of the tweed box etc.
It's real fender tweed with amber shellac and a polyurathane topcoat to simulate aged tweed.

Here's the cherry and walnut box. I use large knobs, so....

The web site is www.mrdwab.com/john  if you wan to see some others...

places that supply amp parts usually also have tweed/tolex/whatever you'd cover an amp/cabinet with

Tedweber.com seems to be the cheapest fro tweed and other coverings. About $20 per yard. You have to order a full yard. Three feet long by 64 inches wide. They don't list them on the website but you can ask for a quote. It comes pretty yellow looking and like fabric. you have to "age" it to get it to look more like an old amp.
