I have built the little Gem Mark II. http://aronnelson.com/gallery/TheBigMan-Layouts/littlegem  I have not substituted any parts. It works fine But I can not figure if this is supposed to have a volume or gain control. How do I add one? I see the wiring for the little Gem (version One)But I am not knowlegable enough to apply that to the Mark II version. Can someone show me where lugs should be connected?

I'm not sure about the volume control but it seems to say exactly how to connect a gain control on that diagram...

Excerpt from the bottom of the diagram, with some of my own commentary in parenthesis... (http://aronnelson.com/gallery/TheBigMan-Layouts/littlegem)

"...use a 5k linear (taper) dual gang pot(entiometer). Connect the wipers (pot lugs 1&2) to the + side of each 10uf cap(acitor) and lug 3 to pin 1 of (each of) the respective 386s."

This may be a little confusing, dual gang pots have 2 sets of lugs that are controlled by one knob simultaneously. You wire one set of them to control one of the 386's and the other set to control the other 386.

Yep, it's that simple.  There is a way to add a volume pot, try searching the archives.  IIRC it was either Mark Hammer or Peter Snowberg who posted it.
