Hey,
Just finished putting together my AMZ overdrive pro (my first attempt at an fx pedal). I put the circuit onto stripboard, and wired it up as it says on tonepad (hopefully), with components all from small bear. Now when I finished it I tried it and it worked - well it sounded excellent but none of the tone pots worked. Also the wiring was quite messy, and connections were breaking so I decided to rewire the offboard parts and make it neater. Now it's doing very strange things! There's a loud buzz (like a square or sine wave) coming through. When I turn the gain pot and/or the saturation pot they change the pitch of the buzzing. Has anyone come across this before? Do you know what might be wrong? I've been looking at my circuit, I can't see a single problem with the soldering on the stripboard etc.  I've rewired many things, but they buzzing is always present.

I'm using a 3DPDT switch with LED wired as it is on the offboard wiring page on tonepad. The LED works for on and off.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

  Yes, Yes, ok.

  Not terribly uncommon.
Here's the best info to date that I know of for a more effecient problem finding adventure...
Read and follow the instructions "DEBUGGING" thread :icon_wink:.
