I have several "BIMBOX" enclosures, the hamerite grey ones that i use a lot and they "look" to be
the same size as a 1590B ....
However, a standard 9v PP3 just wont fit "side on" beneath the switch, even at an angle !
The side walls and lid must be a couple of mm thicker, I've had to remove the batt clip and just
go with 9v sockets on several builds...
anyone had a similar problem ?
Only ones that fit are smaller very "square" batteries, such as Toshiba and Dan electro  :icon_redface:

In the past Ive had to file off the "lip" that centres the lid on the Evatron boxes (same size as 1590BBs).

Yep, me too. You can often clamp the battery down with the lid without damaging it.

9V battery package sizes can vary consideraby.  The older "classic" red Eveready ones are delightfully compact and fit in just about any space that calls for a 9v battery, whereas a great many others are every bit as bulky and obstinate as you describe and frequently do not fit the space provided.  I'm sure I'm not the first person who could not close the battery compartment on Rocktek or Arion pedals, or their multi-meter, because the battery was too damn big..

i recently bought a power bank!
they are really quite cheap around £20-£30 and seem good quality (Ive seen pretty well known people play with the same as mine), ok so your pedal wont be so portable but you'll save on battery's and on space inside the case, i don't know why i didn't start using one earlier

Yup, got that covered, but it's nice to have the "option" of battery too :D
