this is maybe, a lame question. i now when using FET-Switching (Flip-flop) a buffer is needed. but what if im using CMOS (CD4066)? do i need a buffer?
cos i'm making this wah w/boost (ala Dimebag Wah) and i dont see any reason to put a buffer on it. any comments?

This is a CMOS Opamp, Mosfet...it probably has high input impedance to begin with, a buffer may not be an improvement there, but a buffer is just a few buxx on a chunk 'o perf, you could test it, then use it on...whatever you choose to use it on later.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Sometimes you need to wait longer than 8 hours for a reply. ;)

No buffer required.

Sorry, Pete.  A 4066 is a quad bi-lateral switch.

I guess the question is... Does the 4066 in question have a "B" suffix at the end of its part number?  As ToneGod states B= buffer.

The 4066 is a little different from standard logic chips because it's made for switching rather than logic so you will only find parts with the B at the end. No UB version exists.
