adding dpdt and pitch knob to a circuit

I recently ripped a pcb out of a toy megaphone and added 1/4" jacks on the input and output. I also found a great pitch bend/body contact on the pcb. Does anybody know how i could add a dpdt or other switch to the circuit so that i can bypass the effect but still pass signal? I would also like to add a pot or switch  to control the body contact if possible. has anyone ever tried to do either of these?

my ultimate goal is to house this circuit, a arion sd-3 and a level-loc clone into a cool chassis i found recently.

Wow! Sounds cool. As for the bypass, you can bypasss it liek any other FX circuit., using a dpdt switch. Have a look at http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/wrapper/wrapper.htm the 3rd wrapper, version C. That's how to wire up a bypass. While you're at it, check out RGs supreme Technology of Switching, and other similar articles.

As for the pot, what do you mean by "pitch bend/body contact?"

thanks for the link. pitch bend/body contact is a circuit bending term. its aspot on the pcb where you can touch the board and the pitch will change. normally you would take any metal object and wire it to the contact spot. i wold rather have a knob or switch to do the same thing but have had no luck trying to gt it to work.

When I circuit bent my first keyboard I was stupendously lucky - I put a metal plate on the outer casing to cover the hole where the speaker was and now whenever I touch it when the switch is thrown, the notes bend down a semi tone and go back to normal pitch when you move you finger away. You can trill your fingers on the plate and it sounds likes a ringing telephone! Perhaps instead of a switch you could try a similar thing? Erm... but don't ask me how it was pretty much an accident. I suppose its as simple as making a link with wire from the track on the circuit board to a plate.
