are they a waste of time?

I made my own from old 9v batteries. Ill try and upload some pics sometime. There is a pdf article somewhere ont he web, but i cant remeber where...

I ordered a couple of the Bulgin BX0023 from mouser.com for my project. It is a pop-out drawer, as opposed to an internal battery holder or clip. I prefer it not to be necessary to open the box just to replace the battery. Another pop-out solution would be the Battery Boxes used in guitars/basses.

I've used the Bulgin ones.  Fine, no problems and a very tidy.
