How do you get the white lettering I see on some of the painted stomp boxes I see here?

another method would be screen printing, but you need to invest in some various hardware to do it

I think you can also do it with tshirt transfers. Just search the forum as this question has been asked many times

I use white dry transfer letters, some art shops stock them.

"Ditto" they work quite well and can be sealed/clearcoated

I have avoided transfer letters as I am afraid not to align them correct. Do you have any tricks?

You can simply apply a piece of transparent tape to the surface of the box and use it as the lower margin of where to put the letters.  You may have to strain your eyes to see it through the transfer sheet but you should be able to see it.  Alternatively, use some of the low tack adhesive tape used for painting or for that matter yellow stickies.  The general theme here is that you want something to align your letters with that does not leave any residue or markings on the chassis (which may be painted at that point).

Thanks Mark,

I was thinking about using a permanent marker for the line. But removing it would propably damage the letters. Your ideas are much better
