Gotta spare 3-knob box - want a low-gain OD

I've got an extra (pre-drilled) box that I would like to put a low-gain overdrive in, but the footswitch hole is placed such that I would have to use a small PCB.
Here are my current choices:

GGG Bluesbreaker - I have a circuit completely built that I never boxed up and would just have to label the box and drop everything in.
GGG Dist + - I have the PCB etched, just need to drill it and populate the board. With three controls, I could add the Simple Tone Control and maybe a 'Warp' control on the side of the box.
GGG Blue Magic - haven't even started on this one, so I don't know how small it is.

Given that I already have a ROG English Channel, ROG May Queen, Dr. Boogey, BSIAB II, Big Muff Special, (and a commercial Marshall Guv'nor Plus & Jackhammer on the side), do I even NEED another distortion?
If not one of the three above, what would you recommend? (should I just jump on the bandwagon and buy a Bad Monkey?)

Thanks,
- Buck

I've heard a lot of good things about the Peppermill. I haven't built one myself, but it seems like THE choice around here for a low gain pedal.

You can never have enough distortion pedals.

+1 on the Peppermill. Lovely little circuit, I changed a few values to get a bit more gain.

I suggest you the MXR Zakk Wylde OD. It sounds pretty good, something like Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps". Also, you can use it to boost another distortion you have.

I love my bluesbreaker, good tone range, you can use it as a clean boost if you want.. i think it has very wide options .... im sure you'll find a use to it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I guess my reason for asking the (rhetorical) 'do I need another distortion?', was more because of the fact that the boxes that I have pretty much cover everything, and I didn't want duplicates taking up space on my board. I'm going build another BSIAB II (for the 5-knob case that my DIY Guv'nor is currently in; another BSIAB II, IMHO, is better than a Guv) and use the extra 2 controls for Gain 2 and Tone 2 and use a footswitch as an additional channel.

I might just box up the Bluesbreaker I already have done as it would save time to not have to build another circuit; it's just going to be a low-gainer that I use for minor, just-above-clean, gritty sounds. I won't use it that much, but I don't want a case to go to waste if I can use it for something.
Thanks,

Quotejust-above-clean, gritty sounds.
You won0t have problems getting these type of sounds with your bluesbreaker..

Here are some settings that i found long ago.. My favourite is the slight distortion for blues.. These provide a base for, then you tune it up to your personal taste

Bye bye

hope it helped
