Okay I have successfully built a boost pedal and BSIAB II.  I have the PCB done for the Dr. Boogey and was going to tackle that next, but was thinking about maybe waiting and building a chorus pedal.  I already own a early 80's ADA rack with Flanger and Chorus built in and a Digitech DSP2101 preamp digital processor which I am going to use for echo and reverb.  My longwinded questions are :

1. Is there a better DIY chorus that I should look at other than the ADA, right now it sounds pretty good to me?
2. Not sure I want to tackle a Flanger it looks pretty involved and the ADA is okay.
3. Maybe looking at a Univibe clone, I have a modded Phase 90 that I did that sounds good, but not as full as a Univibe.
4. Or maybe I should let my burned and blistered finger tips heal for a week.

Inquiring minds want to know what you guys think.

1. If your current chorus sounds good to you then why change it?
4. No.

Build the Dr. Boogey. I am.  ;D

I'd give it a rest for a week and evaluate what ya have.
Play through it a while and your next step will come from there.
As DIY guys, we sometimes don't play as much as we build and tweak  :D

Pace yourself. If you spend all your time building you'll wind up 30 years later knowing everything about effects and unable to play the guitar worth a flip.

How do I know this?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Yeah R.G. but someone has to do it...hey heres an idea, rock slam out till you're like 50, then start designing effects...

You know RG sometimes it hits me in the face .........

isnt the whole concept to get good on guitar...why do I spend so much time tweaking........i am going in stages I guess......NOW I want to play!!!!!  BUT aHHHHHHH......

My advice is not to lose site of what you like and where you want to be.

Over the past 10 years I've played with far too much electronics and other technical stuff and my playing has suffered.  I've started playing more lately but I've noticed some things that came naturally before have been lost.  You start asking yourself how did that happen - use it or lose it!

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

My playing seems to go in phases.
The more I build the less I play and vice-versa.
I can't seem to be able to reach a happy medium at all.

let the playing be responsible for the blisters & bruises on your fingertips.  :icon_mrgreen:
