What's the 100k resistor from the effect output to ground doing?  Can I run it across my output jack instead (usually easier)?
Here's the layout/reference I'm using:

I read through the geo articles and didn't see mention of this resistor anywhere - maybe I missed it.

Thanks in advance.

look at the first picture with the "internal DC resistance to ground"

often thats allready there in the form of the volume pot by the output or just as a regular resistor

TheBigMan

Yeah, it's often not needed but I included it for completness.  With most DIY effects there'll be a 1M+ pulldown resistor there anyway.  It is necessary though in things like the TB box that R.G. did with the MB.

Do you reckon this might work for true bypass with an led? Sorry for my crappy drawing!

Is that a plastic washing basket?

Nope, as the input impedance of the effect board is always present, even when bypassed, so no true bypass

For the Millenium bypass deal you have to wire it up something like this: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/switch_lo_dpdt_mil.gif

read the bypassing and Millenium bypass arcticle on geofex, lots of good info
