hi guys, has someone of you got a 1:1 scale pcb for this wonderful effect?

Nashtir

..or else.. has someone got a pcb to sell me??

It seems to me to be a little too big..isn't it? I saw from the photos  that resistors are kind of stretched..Am I wrong?
I saw two layouts from olcircuits but the 1.1 version seems to be a bit noisy due to components dispositions.

Its here

Note that Bucksear's layouts aren't hosted on my site. The images you see are IFrame'd directly from the original site.

The layout is much too big. It needs to be scaled correctly. Probably the easiest way to do this manually is to scale it on the computer and then print it on paper. Lay some components (i.e. a few resistors and caps) on the paper to see if you are close. Repeat until you get it right:)

I made the PCB and mine's about 4.5 x 2.5 in.  In order to get the 6 pots on a box you are going to need a pretty good sized box so it should fit fine.  Don't know what you mean by stretched.  You could always take it and "shrink" it down using a graphics program.  Heck even Paint will work.  I have done that before with other PCBs

Now I'm really confused because I downloaded the image from the site and had no problems with it.

This is a quote from Buck on this site:
I've made several and they work great.

Ok, hope this helps:
The image is the EXACT size of the board; meaning, the ground line that goes all the way around the board is at the edge of the file.
I did a right-click, save-as for this file directly from my site and then pulled the image up in Photoshop (as-is) and just verified the size that was showing:
2.727" x 1.44"
or
6.93cm x 3.66cm
or
69.26mm x 36.58mm

I don't know why it would be sized differently for another computer/printer; the image size should be written to the file. Every time I've printed it out, it's printed out the exact size to be used.

Mundo bizaroo...I did the same thing and it comes out 2.5x4.5 everytime.

In Paint, the size is 4.5" x 2.23" for me if I just copy and paste the image.

But the size is 2.73" x 1.44" if I download it on my PC, and load the file in Paint after that...

Yeah I have to download from the link.  Wish I had known that before. Now I will need to make a new board.  >:(

Yeah, this comes up every now and again (glad to see that users are still building the 'Boogey'!) The best thing I can tell you is.........print it out on regular paper FIRST to see if it's the actual size.
I created the layout using Adobe Illustrator, working in the actual size of the PCB. I exported the files at that size (I did NOT resize them at all) so people WOULDN'T run into this problem, but I guess it still happens.
It should be about what Gilles reported: 2.73" x 1.44".

Sorry, hope this helps.

I crammed mine into a DOD Death Metal box. It fit ok, barely, but it fit. Whatever box you use, remember that you'll need an additional 1/2-3/4" depth for the populated board, wires, etc to fit. Thats the only problem I had fitting my Boogey into the DOD case was that I had less than a millimeter between the bottom of the board and the bottom plate for the enclosure.

About your PCB... When I wanted to build mine I wanted a really clean PCB so I posted in the TRADE forum (i think its called that...) asking for anyone who would make me a Dr. Boogey PCB and I had 2 or 3 responses. I urge you to do the same.

If anyone is interested I can can make you a one off board.

thank you guys for all the answers, you greatly helped me out with that thing, my computer viewed and printed a really larger image, almost 1/2 inch bigger each side. So I ended resizing manually and with paint..which is all but a "hi fidelty" graphic program, and it made some tracks too big and too close so that soldering bridges were almost unavoidable..Now I'll do another pcb and will let you know!thanks to all of you!

Torchy

To resize a pcb, I load the image into Micro$oft Publisher, on an A4 blank. Then view it at 100% and drag the handles until the IC or transistor pad spacing is correct. You can use a bit of perf or vero to gauge the spacings.
