Congratulations Phillip, looks & works smoothly.

Is it me or this new server is way faster than the previous?  Each page takes less than a sec to load now!

Joecool85

The server is blisteringly fast actually.  Chris picked out a super sweet server for SSGuitar.com, he got a good deal on the webspace because he has had an account with the same place for 7-8 years.

Everything except the "Submitted Schematics" page should be working...that page was a last-minute addition so I haven't had a chance to get that page coded yet.  The index page is also still a little sparse for the time being, but I'm working on ways to pretty it up a bit ;)

Let me know if something's not working so I can get it patched up.

Looks good. Gotta love a world with more fuzz.

Awsome Phillip.  Cant wait to view the whole thing.

I got up before work this morning and saw the new site was up, and spent so much time surfing schems I was late for work.

Phillip, thanks again for your contributions to this community.

Same here!
Nice job Phillip!  8)

Thanks guys!  Yes the ssguitar server is very fast, plus there's no javascript ad stuff inserted into the HTML like tripod put in there.  With all that ad stuff that Tripod was inserting, my HTML files were suffering from "code bloat" which certainly also slowed down the loading.

I'll probably be making some changes to the site later this evening...after I spend the afternoon outside since the weather has finally cleared and the sun has finally made a return ;)

I've just uploaded an updated version of the Colorsound One Knob Fuzz to the Schematics & PCBs page.  Stuart Castledine caught an error in the original schematic for me, and it has been corrected :)

More new schematics coming soon.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the website was designed around the open-source Bitstream Vera Sans font...most computers don't have it, otherwise the site will default to Arial, but it looses a bit of effect when it does that ;)  Here's a link to download the Bitstream Vera fonts for free:

Done and done ;)

BTW, does anyone have one of those floating "Back to Top" javascript links?  I used to have a nice one, but that was on my last desktop...  I'd like one that displays the link in plain text and "floats" in the bottom left side of the screen.

Thanks!

Phillip...

are you sure about the values on the CS one knob ? from my calculations, which admittedly could be "off", q2 wont be anywhere near bias with a 82 ohm and a 2k2 on it....

maybe i'm mistaken, but with a average hfe around 200, wouldn't that put the bias at q2's collector a bit over 7 volts ?  just wondering...

maybe i should check my calculations again...

ALSO...on the Univox Squarewave fuzz schemo...should the resistor off Q1's emitter really be "680k" ?  680 ohms would make more sense ...just wondering...
AC

ps...the site looks fantastic !

phillip

Yep, the 680K resistor in the Squarewave schematic should indeed be 680R.  I just uploaded the corrected version of the schematic.

I think that the 82R resistor is probably correct, especially coming from Stuart.  He said that the 680R would make it quite a bit louder, though.

Hello Hello--
Great site  Phillip!  Good to have it back.
What about those values on the Colorsound  One Knob??
Brian.

Hello Hello Again--
I just checked my old schematics for the One Knob  [hey.... now THERE is a name to gripe about!] and they all have a 820 ohm res. in there.
Brian.

thats what i was thinking....  820 ohm, not the 82 ohm thats listed....

what value resistor do you have for Q2's collector Brian ?

thanks,
