What kind of multimeter should I get?

I'd like to get a nice, mid-priced multimeter that has an oscilloscope.  Any suggestions?

I don't think you'll find a multimeter with an oscilliscope because they unfortunately don't make them (I'm sure I'll be corrected on this).
I love the smell of solder in the morning.

Would anyone mind giving me the quick and dirty advantages to having a scope?  I'm lucky enough to have a supportive wife so if I can make a good argument for getting one, I'm sure she'll say "Okay".  In all honesty, I don't know what they are used for.  At least as they relate to stompboxes.

You can set it up to display...waveform shapes/sizes...on stage it looks pretty cool...lol
It is quite a useful tool for many things, I don't have one, but I know I'd figure out how to apply it if I did.
We used to have one...it's nice to be able to 'view soundwaves', for debugging, determining where a signal is getting 'mashed' or what...[more importantly where] and how much...
Indespensible [according to those who have and use one]...especially if you're working on amps 'n other stuff like this.
