ok so this has been posted on here before but all the links to any diagrams have been lost/deleted.

i have a marshall g50r and a footswitch to go with it! its basically a locking spst link to the tip and sleeve of a mono jack

I'm wanting to build a multi switching pedal and want the option of it to switch the single and double channel marshalls and other amps, however i only have a single channel marshall. could someone with a marshall mg100dfx or similar have a play around and tell me how there footpedal switches? i think its a stereo jack! am i right?
i tested my footpedal with a multi meter across the jack of the marshall pedal. but another way is plug in a  stereo lead into the footswitch socket and connect the tip ring and sleeve to see which combination switches the channel.
I'm guessing its two spst, one connecting the tip to the sleeve and one connecting the ring to sleeve. help anyone?

and do they simply connect the tip and ring to the sleeve?
