Ruby uh.. stuff bass treble =

Awhile back I posted asking about adding bass and treble controls to a 386 based amp. Since then I haven't had too much time to play around with it but now i've finally got my hands on a couple 386's and a couple hours so let me ask a few more q's before I get started...

I was told that this would be a variable bass control. I'm thinking about putting a .1uf where the ? cap is in this diagram.

Also for the 10uf cap in series with the 2k2 resistor, how should the polarity go?
