Can I make this circuit run on 12v?  I have a car cd player that has RCA inputs, but they have a very low level, so I'm thinking about making a couple of Mosfet boosters (stereo) to boost the levels and would like to power them from the car's electrical system.

What do you guys think?

You could always use a 9volt regulator, no?

cheers

I'm not certain about the zener protection diode, I think it only sees much lower than supply voltage.
The other components should be fine with 16v, [you'd have to measure the car battery during end of charge cycle to get an idea what the actual max voltage would be] except the capacitors whose ratings are probably printed on them, always use caps rated for more than the voltage applied to them.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

It will run on 12v with no changes.
