Yeah, you need the "left hand over the heart full moon 2-step" mod for that booger. Now if you had the ba729N I'd say you're outta luck. But luckily you've got the real 728, so definitely go with that mod for the best tone.

The DS-1 can be turned into a huge boost with LOADS of gain on tap and a very sexy overdrive. The higher you turn the drive knob, the more overdrive applied. The level...duh, controls the level.

In addition, you can clip the larger tone control cap to make it a treble booster. The further you roll the tone knob to the right, the more treble you get.

If you're interested, I'll go find the specs. I believe it's mostly just taking out the clipping diodes.
