Im looking for a super hi gain transistor fuzz circuit. I saw the plutonium fuzz but I havent built it yet. Is this a good hi gain circuit or is there one that hasnt been posted yet. Not with FET's but regular transistors.

3/4 North

There's two I've built so far that had a crazy amount of gain.
The Vulcan and a Blue Clipper with the discrete op amp.

I have a question why is the feedback R at the node of the 220 ohm and gain pot?

I would think it would be at the emitter

You might ask Gary Hurst. He might know. I just copied the TB Mk. II and did what it took to make Si trannys work in it. It does work.

And Doug's Hot Si is an excellent choice.

As 3/4N recommended before, I'd probly try this guy:

However, I supect that it is more of a distortion than a fuzz.

If you want a crazy fuzz I'd probly build an octave fuzz.  They are all pretty crazy, but the Mayer Octavia and the Scrambler stand out to my ears.

Also, I ran a spice simulation of the Sam Ash and it was pretty freaking nasty.

2nd for the Fuzzrite.  It goes where fuzz wasn't meant to go.  I suggest using low hFE transistors in it.
