More Omni Drive questions...

Hi All,

Well, I finished my Omni Drive tonight (http://www.geofex.com/PCB_layouts/Layouts/omnidrv.pdf) and it fired up the first time! 

I really like the distortion, but have some questions as to what all those switches I wired up actually do....I'm not good enough to look at the board and see what it's supposed to do based on the components in the circuit (...yet  )

Anyway, what do the Scoop, Filter, Octave, Boost and Mode switches actually do?  I hear a difference in sound when Octave is activated, and Boost is obvious, and I hear a :slight" difference with Filter and Scoop (of course, I haven't had a chance to crank it yet....late night and kids in bed and all.....)  So just wondering what the "official" functions of those circuits are...

Also, I haven't wired up all the LED's yet, just the one for the bypass switch, but there are 5 more.  I'm assuming I can wire them all off of one battery, but the battery just might get sucked dry a little faster?  I was thinking I could just run a wire from 9V+ to a 2.2k resistor, then the other side to the + of the LED and - to the appropriate switch lug, but I tried a quick test by hooking up the Mode switch and of course when you turn it on the LED on the bypass switch dims a bit.  I was trying to use just the one resistor for all the switches, but I'm thinking I'll need to run a wire for each switch from 9V+ with a resistor for each or maybe even a separate battery for the other switches?

It's too late and I'm going to bed!  At least the pedal works!

Filter- Low Pass Filter (Allows bass through)
Octave- Pitch Higher
Scoop- Cut off Mid (For metal)
Mode- Two LED/Diode Clipping Modes
