Stompswitch 3PDT wiring help

I need a little clarification. In Aron's schematic, is it showing the battery "+" connecting to the circuit board and then to the stompswitch? Originally, I thought it was just showing the "+" only going to the stompswitch. If that's what it's showing then, that may solve my problem.

This brings up an interesting question to me.  This is how I've been wiring all of my switches, but I saw this diagram on Beavis Audios website, and it made me wonder if this is a better way.  Does this make a difference?
