Help with ground.

can someone please tell me where does the mono jack ground supposed to go in this picture:

The fastest and easy place for the ground wire would be to hook it to the ground on the stereo jack accross from it. (Green wire.)  Or to the bottom strip on the vero board.

For me I dont ground the jacks. They will groud out thru the enclosure.
That is assuming that you are using a metal box.
Other wise I just connect the "ring" terminals  of each jack together.

I think the LED is set up wrong. You would have to flip
the + and - around. Here is a picture showing
another way to hook up the LED

So you basically say that the LED needs to be on the positive side?

I would say just flip the LED so the plus side goes to the center lug of the switch and the neg side goes towards the jack.  The resistor can be on the positive or negative side of the LED.
