pcb layout software for free>?!?!

i need somthing free thats easy to figure out.
it has to be in either .pcb or .brd format.
any ideas?
i havent had such good luck figuring these out in the past.

if maybe somone would like to do some layout for cheap? :)

well i just did this layout in pcb123, was pretty easy untill a finished and noticed i put all of the traces on the top side of the board! :(
well, live and learn i guess :)

Not only that, but now you'll remember which traces are on which side of the board a whole lot better than if someon just told you to do it.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

hahah yep!
this ones a single sided board so thats where the real frustration came from!

I don't know about pcb123 but Eagle has a function that will move a trace to the opposite side of the board just by clicking on it...  easy to correct such a mistake.

yeah this has that as well,
but it did some strange things when i tried it,
-adding extra holes for one!-
i redid it and its a much better layout this time around anyway, so i guess it was for the best!
