Hi everybody!
Just one question about the vero layout in subject (very nice imho), i.e. this:

Is the SPD switch a "on/on" switch, or a "on/off/on" switch?
Thanks!

I've not built it but from the schematic I've seen, you need an ON-OFF-ON to have all three modes.  It will work with a regular SPDT, but you lose the 'diode lift' setting.

Quite right.  You need three positions, one for the silicon diodes, one for the LEDs and one that has no diodes.  And don't forget the trace cut under C10!  It's really hard to see, so hard in fact that I missed it the first time I built this thing and I made the layout!?!

Thanks to you Andy, and everybody!  :)
Andy, what do you mean with "the position that has no diodes"? You mean a clipping-free effect, useful (for instance) as a booster?
I have only a on/on SPDT, and I don't need a boster option. So, could I use the on/on switch without any problem?
Thanks,

Yes you could but you may have to modify the layout it a little bit.  Basically, the middle position, as it is wired in this layout and the original Landgraf version, takes the diodes out of the clipping section.  I guess really the proper way to put it is that there is no clipping section.  Honestly, this is my favorite setting.  The pedal still has plenty of gain and a good amount of crunch without any diode clipping and it sounds more full and open to me, especially in the low-end response.  I've actually thought about making one without the silicon section, just the LEDs and no diodes, as these two settings sound much better to me than the original silicon diodes.

This SPDT center-off switch from Small Bear should be fine for this purpose:

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

...very interesting! You mean that this "crunch" comes from the dual opamp alone?  ???
Anyway, I'll try to find an on/off/on switch! Thanks for the info!  ;)
Just one more question: in the layout, C9 and C10 are 220nf, and C6 is .22 uF: of corse, I guess it's the same capacitor, i.e. 220 nf = .22 uF. Correct?
Cheers,

3-position (on-off-on) SPDT and DPDT switches have a myriad of uses.  When you run into a deal on them, stock up.  You can never have enough.
