Hi everybody!

Could anybody please tell me how I could convert a IBanez Ts9 DX into a TS808? I canĀ“t find any kits in the net or any squematics...

Thanks a lot

The easy mod is to change the 470R to 100R and the 100k to 10k in the output RC-network and the chip to a TI or JRC 4558D/DD, this will give you the sound of the Ri TS-808 in pos. 1 of the selector switch.

For the real old 808-sound you have to do a lot more changes (diodes to the very rare 1S1588, electrolytic to Nichion big type, caps to green or brown Mylar types, trannies to the old 2SC1815 type, FETs inthe flip-flop to the old type).

For the '79  sound w less mids and more gain the IC must be changed to RC 1458P.
