hey guys

can someone please tell me why there is a low pass filter on the output of the phase 45?

there is a .05uf cap and a 150k resistor to ground.. by my dodgy calculations thats around 22khz

is this correct? is there a reason why its there? can i remove it?

cheers

That circuit is a high-pass filter (not a low-pass), and its corner frequency is indeed near 21 Hz, not 22 kHz.   Its purpose is to block the D.C. voltage at the point where it is connected.  It should not be removed and its values are OK.

if its purpose is to block the dc, then why does the sound get a lot fatter when i increase the cap value?
