This topic has been revived lately but it seems the discussion always drift off into the ethics of the Creamy Dreamer and its owner.

I'm just curious what else I need to do with a Triangle Muff to get it into Siamese Dream territory.  I have seen mods to eliminate the emitter resistors for Q1-Q3 but, I was just curious if anyone had any definite values for the tone stack.  (I have seen suggestions by Yun as well as his suggested schem for the C.D.).  In the meantime, I'll try his suggestions but was curious if there are any other suggestions such as different trannies for the 2N5088s, etc.

Here is another good resource....

You might try the Swollen Pickle values for the tonestack, it shifts the mid notch lower than the BMP, to about 700Hz, which may = a more 90s sound.  I believe the cap value changes were making the 10nF a 33nF, and the 3 or 4nF (can't remember, the smaller cap in the tonestack) a 10nF.

When I saw 'em in '95 they kinda sounded weak compared to their recordings,  I guess 40 tracks of guitar overdubs will tend to sound thicker than a lonely muff, no matter what mods you got going.  Its valiant to try, though.

The mid-range mod came from my design at:

The Creamy Dreamer info came from the stuff I posted about the one I bought, disassembled, figured out how to get the heavy coating of epoxy off, and then traced...

It would have been nice if he had given me a link at the bottom of that page....
