I have read here that some say the BSIAB 2 does not play well with other pedals.
Whjat do they mean by that.  Is there a fix to the issue?

Also I was wondering what other builds most closly resemble the BSIAB ??  I have built the Thuderchief. it is a little midrangy to me on my rig.

I don't know. It sounds better than the rest so you never use the others?  ;)

I don't remember any posts about the BSIAB not getting along with others.
Did you find many complaints in the archives?

My BSIAB does not like to be fed into my Digitech RP80.
Super loud hiss is the result. Not hum, just a waterfall of noise.

It does not have a problem with any other pedal in my collection including
the commercial Boss, Dano, and Behringer ones.
It also gets along fine with a POD and my Vox Valvetronic (another digital modeler).

I credited the issue to the Digitech not the BSIAB. I'll be watching this thread.
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith

My BSIAB II doesn't seem happy with a booster up front, but then it doesn't need one !
All else is fine in the garden ....

I never had any problems with my BSIABII with any pedals I have connected before or after, including MXRs, Boss, Arion, Aria, etc... Would that be an isolated case (pushtone) ?

My BSIAB2 didn't get along with my modded TS-9 or my new MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe.  I assumed it was an impedance thing because the OD before the BSIAB2 didn't really give it an edge buth rather the volume and character stayed quite the same while the compression seemed to increase.  Just for kicks I moved the OD behind the BSIAB2 in all it mainly did was give it the mids voicing that a tubescreamer is known for.  This is sort of why I opted for the Thunderchief.

Also, the Thurnderchief's voicing is perfect for my amp and has a bit more thickness than the BSIAB2 (A bit more Trower than Jimi in my opinion).  I still throw in the BSIAB2 once in a while because it is a bit smoother with a little more chime.  I have tried a few mods but still can't seem to dial in enough mid-range to get it to my liking.  Maybe I just need to study up on tone stacks.
builds completed: boutique fuzz, rangemaster, BSIAB2, PT-80, Tonepad wah, Ross Comp, Axis Fuzz, MOSFET boost, Thunderchief, Big Muff (triangle), Mr. EQ, Dr. Boogey,  Neovibe, Dist+, EA Tremelo, ADA Flanger, RM Octavia

What's a BSIAB?  I know it's something in a box but what's the BS for?
