Another AMZ mini booster question.. i've got the parts to make this sucker happen, except i've got say film  where it says ceramic.. does it really matter what type of caps i am using? From what i have read through the history function, it doesn't really matter, or rather, shouldn't really matter when you get down to it. Do you folks agree? Would the change in tone really be noticeable? Maybe ther eis only one way to find out...

Thanks everyone.

Im no expert, but it may just not sound as good as the other one. It should work, they do the same function.

If it is the same value, 220 nf (0.22 uf) ceramic and 220 nf film, I say go for the film. I breadboarded the mini-booster using film, electro and silver mica caps. I did not have the 3.3uf NP so I subbed in a polarized 4.7uf electro, then, I did not have the 10pf cap, the smallest I had was a 47pf silver mica cap. Even with those substitutions, it still sounded good to me.

The difference will be subtle, and a lot of folks prefer film anyway. Go for it!

I sometimes prefer ceramic for the smaller caps but, that's just me and I'm really "old-school"  :icon_lol:

I use ceramic for small values, but I prefer film when possible.
